Urusei Yatsura’s theme song “Lum no Love Song” with Azusa Yamamoto!… Needless to say, you’ll never get an American model/actress to do this, and that is why Japan is awesome… that and killer robots.
For those not familiar with Urusei Yatsura or it’s originator Rumiko Takahashi, take everything you know about Harem and Love Comedy anime and congratulations, you just met it’s grand mama. The theme song has survived surprisingly well given how weird the original version is, I recently even heard it sung in a IdolM@ster medley for no apparent reason.
Oh yeah, I should probably explain that the main character of Urusei Yatsura, Lum is a “Oni”, a Japanese demon… this entirely justifies why she has horns, shoots lightning and is wearing a tiger stripped bikini, I mean that literally too.
